I recently enjoyed a stay at The Horseshoe. The location is lovely, tucked away in a cozy village. I loved the friendly staff. they made me feel welcome and included right from check-in. The Jamaican street food in the restaurant amazed me—everything from the goat curry to fish and chips was delicious. My room was clean and comfortable, a recently refurbished twin room that felt just right. I also appreciated the charming decor throughout the inn. it was slightly out of town, so walking to local attractions took longer than expected. A lift would have helped, especially since I was traveling with my family. Breakfast wasn’t available during my visit, but I was aware of that beforehand. A bathroom light took some figuring out—it operated on a movement sensor and wasn't obvious. Small bumps didn’t overshadow my enjoyable stay.

Absolutely loved the fabulous Jamaican dishes – their goat curry was a winning combo! Plus, the cozy pub vibe made us feel right at home, and the staff were as friendly as can be. The location is top-notch for exploring Crickhowell and beyond.
There was a bit of noise from the pub in our room, so if you fancy an early night, that’s a cheeky challenge.
